The dashboard
that didn't prevent
anything.
Independent developer and Oura Ring user. BurnoutBlock is a personal project built out of a real experience — and a gap no existing tool was filling.
It started with a Thursday. After weeks of watching an HRV graph decline — 54, 46, 38 — there was a crash anyway. The data was all there. The pattern was unmistakable. But there was no plan, no alert, no action. Just numbers on a screen.
"Your Oura Ring knew before you did. It just didn't know how to tell you what to do about it."
BurnoutBlock was built to close that gap. Not another dashboard. Not more charts. A single daily question answered every morning before you open your laptop: what kind of day can your body handle today?
We built on top of the Oura Ring because it captures the most clinically relevant biometric data available on a consumer device — nocturnal HRV, sleep fragmentation, resting heart rate trends. The science behind burnout detection using these signals is robust (De Looff et al., 2018 · Hynynen et al., 2011 · Gatti et al., 2022). The missing layer was the translation from raw data to actionable plan.
That's what BurnoutBlock does. Nothing more, nothing less.
